At Midlife Coffee, we are committed to sourcing our beans from small coffee farmers around the globe and roasting them locally in Minnesota.
In 2018, I visited the coffee farming cooperative, De La Gente (From the People) in Antigua, Guatemala. While exploring the coffee plantation and meeting the proud farmers, I learned not only how coffee is grown and harvested but also listened to inspiring stories of a community that formed their own local cooperative, developing a business outside of large for-profit coffee plantations.
I vowed that if I were ever fortunate enough to open a coffee shop, I would sell coffee from small growers and cooperatives. Today, this vision has become a reality as I proudly offer globally grown and locally roasted coffee. I look forward to sharing it at upcoming coffee events.

The name Midlife Coffee was born after much debate, with my husband aptly naming the situation at hand. As a mom to four amazing children who are becoming more independent and embarking on new adventures, I found myself with some extra time. It was my youngest son who suggested that I use this time to start my coffee business. Whether in crisis or not, after 20 years of discussing this idea, I decided to take a risk and set this plan in motion.
I have always loved coffee and enjoyed relaxing with friends and family. Coffee has played a significant role in my life, both at home and during my international adventures. This business venture aims to strengthen relationships within my family and my community, while also hosting coffee events that celebrate our shared love for locally roasted coffee. I’m excited about connecting with small coffee farmers globally and supporting local roasters. Midlife Coffee brings together the best of both worlds! Together, we will make a difference.

I am a mom, educator, wife, daughter, sister, and small business owner of “Midlife Coffee.” During the school year, I teach English to multilingual learners in the public schools. I love learning languages, understanding diverse cultures, and exploring different ways of being in the world. I enjoy listening to stories and learning from those around me—there's no better way to connect than by sipping locally roasted coffee together at coffee events, while also supporting small coffee farmers.
At our coffee events, you can enjoy a delightful range of flavors such as Caramel, Hazelnut, Vanilla, Chocolate, Chai, and even Sugar Free Vanilla, all crafted with locally roasted coffee sourced from small coffee farmers.
Oat or almond milk is perfect for pairing with locally roasted coffee from small coffee farmers, especially during coffee events.
The menu is subject to change based on ingredient availability, particularly during our coffee events that showcase locally roasted coffee sourced from small coffee farmers.
